I just recently stocked my new 75 gallon plywood tank with some fish.  I got them in the Mail from Bruce at Omacichlids ( ).  Bruce has purchased quite a bit of Tx Holey Rocks for his breeding selection.  I chose 17 pseudotrophéus demanosi  and a breeding trio of Ps. Flavus (Chinyankwazi Is.).   They arrived healthy and I have been pleased.

I've got a unique setup of Tx Holey Rocks in my tank made from my personal collection.   Some rocks I have are used for this specific application that most people aren't interested in.  Most people are interested only in rocks with lots of holes.  The video is below:

I started my build inspired by TheFishGuy's (TFG) thread in Cichlid-Forum "1122.08 GALLON TANK PROJECT!!!". I came across the thread in the DIY section and was amazed by the thought of building a fish aquarium using plywood. I first saw it when his thread was 35 pages. Now it's up to 123 pages!  I recommend checking it out if you ever plan to build a plywood aquarium for yourself.

Zak's 75 Gallon Plywood

I was so inspired by his project, I decided to build a 75 gallon desktop tank, too.  Read on to see how I did it!

Nice Feedback PDF Print E-mail

From time to time our satisfied customers will send us an email saying just how satisfied they are with their purchase. Well, recently, Zak (the owner) decided to throw in a couple of small rocks with an order for a repeat customer named Dawn out in Illinois. Here is what Dawn wrote back to us: "Hello Zak, I received my holey rocks today, and all I can say is WOW. You stated in your email that you included a few smaller rocks. I was totally surprised at the number of rocks that were in there. Thank you, those smaller pieces will come in handy filling in spaces. I will tell anyone I know who is starting a cichlid tank, to definitely check out your site. It has been a great experience, and the added rocks were sure a surprise! I will be a repeat customer in the future. Now that the 75 gallon has enough rocks, time to start on the 125!" Zak has a philosophy of taking care of his customers and trying to make sure they get a good deal. So it is a great feeling to get such positive and appreciative responses like this one. Thanks, Dawn for the feedback and for being a great customer!
